This week’s message, part of “Rise of the Royals,” moved from extended worship into a focused call to live an “action by faith” life. Centering on 1 Samuel 16, Abrianna unpacked the phrase “an evil spirit from the Lord,” argued that God does not send evil, and showed how Jesus and the apostles interpret such passages. She then pressed the church to see every believer as a minister, to “rightly divide” Scripture, and to carry the message of reconciliation everywhere. The service closed with public prayer, prophetic encouragement, and a fresh commissioning.

Church isn’t meant to be a once-a-week experience — the Word keeps walking with us through the week.
Welcome back, friends 🤍
Over the next few days, we’re going to continue sitting with this week’s message together through scripture, reflection, prayer, journaling, and practical application. My hope is that these devotionals help us slow down, stay rooted, and carry Sunday’s revelation into everyday life. Let’s dive in!

Day 4: Strength for the Assignment
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ
For the past few days, the Lord has been steadying your heart. He remains. He is worthy at midnight. You are not alone in the hidden place. Now that journey turns toward the assignment itself. Sunday’s message carried that urgent call to people who felt stuck, weary, and tempted to stop before the work was done. Yet in the middle of worship, prayer, and honest weakness, one truth kept rising. God has not brought you this far to abandon what He started in you.
Philippians 1:6 gives language for that hope. Paul says he is confident that the One who began a good work will carry it on to completion in Christ. This is not confidence in human stamina. It is confidence in God's faithfulness. The Lord is not careless with His purposes, and He does not start redemption only to lose interest halfway through. What He begins by grace, He also sustains by grace. That means your calling, your growth, your healing, and your obedience are not resting on your strength alone, but on His committed hand.
This is the angle for today. God finishes His work. That does not mean the path will feel easy, or that every delay means failure. It means your weariness is not the author of your story. Your discouragement is real, but it is not final. The enemy may try to freeze you in disappointment, shame, or fear, but he cannot cancel what God has spoken.
The Father who fed Elijah, strengthened David, and met Paul in prison is the same Father who is sustaining you now. Even if the assignment looks unfinished, God is still actively at work in you, not just around you.
So rise and continue obediently. Do not wait until you feel strong enough to move.
Take the next faithful step today, however small it seems. Return to the task, the prayer, the conversation, the service, the dream, or the discipline God already placed before you. Ask Him for strength, then move in trust. Obedience is often how fresh strength arrives.
What is one specific assignment you need to pick back up today? God is not finished with you!
Let’s pray

Heavenly Father, You are faithful, steady, and perfect in all Your ways. You never abandon what Your hands begin, and Your purposes are full of wisdom and grace.
I confess that I grow tired, discouraged, and tempted to stop when the road feels long. I often measure Your work by my feelings instead of trusting Your promise.
Thank You for Jesus, who finished the work of redemption for me, and for the grace that keeps holding me when I feel weak.
Thank You that Your faithfulness is greater than my inconsistency.
Holy Spirit, strengthen me to rise and continue in obedience today. Help me pick up the assignment I have laid down, trust You for the next step, and walk with courage in what You have called me to do. Amen.
See you tomorrow!
