This month, SALT Leader Tondenisha Coleman delivered a powerful word titled 'Knowing God’s Voice in the Noise.'She reminded us that discerning of spirits is not just about recognizing right from wrong, but also about:
Hearing God’s voice clearly, even in the midst of life’s noise
Protecting our peace and purity
Avoiding emotional detours
Choosing God’s best over what simply looks good
Identifying divine timing and direction

1 Kings 3:8-9 – Solomon’s request for a discerning heart
James 1:2-5 – Asking God for wisdom
Proverbs 2:3-5 – Seeking wisdom as a hidden treasure
Matthew 7:7-8 – Keep asking, seeking, and knocking
Romans 12:2 – Be transformed by the renewing of your mind
Hebrews 5:14 – Spiritual maturity and training

Discernment is a spiritual GPS for your life – it helps you stay aligned with God’s purpose, avoid costly mistakes, and recognize His voice.
Discernment requires surrender, effort, and spiritual maturity. It’s not a one-time gift but a lifelong practice.
Building authentic, God-centered relationships requires discernment – beware of emotional hype and stay grounded in truth.
